About Us

Keetmanshoop Municipality is governed by Municipal Council in terms of Local Authority Act, Act 23 of 1992. Council consist

of seven members who are elected by the residents of Keetmanshoop for a period of five years on the basis of proposed

political party list

Our Vision

We are committed to be the centre of superb growth and excellence in Local economic development, Local Authority

governance and Local Authority administration in entire Karas Region in southern Namibia.

Our Mission

Our mission is to:

Create an environment conducive for the development and growth of all residents that will result in improvement of

living standards and human dignity and value creation for all our people.

Commit ourselves to diversity seeing that our strength is in our people.

Attract right people for right job and to development them further.

Enhance relationship with all our key stakeholders at all times adhere to corporate governance best practices.
